Star Spangled & Buddies

Happy Independence Day!
Everybody Needs a Buddy

Have a wonderful holiday!

Okay, Coupon Queen, your total is....

 Some highlights from this weekend...

First up, Walgreens
Cottonelle - $4 each
Scrubbing Bubbles One Step Toilet Cleaner - $2.99
Olay body wash - $1.40 ea
Mitchum deoderant - all FREE
Tampax - all FREE
Sally Hansen nail polish - $1 each

Butterball Turkey Bacon - 49 cents each

I had to go to two Walgreens because the cashier at the first one gave me a hard time.  The Walgreens circular says, when referring to the Register Rewards offers "one coupon printed per offer".  She thought that meant I could only use one of my coupons for Tampax and Mitchum.
It all worked out ok though.  At the second Walgreens, I was checked out by the manager, who I like, and when he gave me my total he said "okay, Coupon Queen, your total is....".  We all laughed, it was cool.

Not much at CVS but saved a bunch of money!

You can't see all of it but there are three each of the Pantene shampoo and conditioner.  I got them all for FREE!
The Cortaid was a surprise coupon from the CVS Magic Coupon Machine.  Got it FREE!
The gold Sally Hansen Crackle nail polish was on clearance.  Regular price $6.68, I got it for $1.67!!!
The noodles were all 39 cents each, I only got them because at CVS and Walgreens you can't have more coupons than you have items.  Since I used 8 CVS coupons and 3 manufacturer coupons to get the Pantene, I had to get what we call "fillers" to up the item quantity.  Basically you look for something cheap enough that it's worth it to buy to ensure you can use all your coupons.  My hopes weren't really high for these noodles but we had a pack last night with alfredo sauce and they were pretty good.

This is my Walmart purchases.  Except the laundry detergent in the back, it just hasn't found a home yet from the other night.
Raid ant trap - 46 cents
Pantene hair cream - $2 each
Ball Park hot dogs - 74 cents each
Grillers potatoes - $1.60 each

This was Fry's.  I have been chomping at the bit about the Ken's salad dressing.  I had coupons for $1 off 2 that were about to expire but I knew someone would have them on sale soon.  Last week, Fry's had them on sale for 88 cents each.  That makes them 38 cents each after my coupon.  But when I got to Fry's last week, someone had cleared the shelves!  :(
So I waited, hoping that they would get them back in stock.  I went back to Fry's twice last week, but they still didn't have any.  I would have ad matched at Walmart, but we don't carry that size.
Then the ad came for this week and they had them for 88 cents again!  This gave me another week to try to get my hands on them.  When I walked into Fry's yesterday morning, I went to the condiment aisle figuring my coupons, which expired that day, were about to become packing material.
But they had them!!!!!!
So I got my six and squealed so loud the manager peeked down the aisle to see me dancing around with 6 bottles of salad dressing.
They still had their cereal and Hot Pocket sales going on too, so I couldn't resist.  And Christian wanted donuts.

And lastly, here's Target.
Jif - 29 cents each
Bologna - $1.04
Glade air fresheners - 49 cents each
Right Guard body wash - $1.47 each
Yosicles - $1.50
TGIF appetizers - $1.69 each

Had another issue with coupons at Target.  Nothing too major but they really have a knack for making you feel like a thief for using coupons.

That sums up the last few days.  I ordered coupon inserts from wholecouponinserts.com and plan on getting 8 more Pantene later this week.  I ordered 30 Almay coupons from mycouponhunter.com and already had my Cosmetics department manager order more of the eye makeup remover for me.  Kinda excited about that one.

Til next time...
